Each year at the Annual Conference, The Pennsylvania Association of School Business Officials presents the Gary E. Reeser Memorial Award to an outstanding PASBO member who exemplifies professionalism, leadership, and innovation in the field of school business management.  This year the recipient is Robert G. Bailey, Director of Management Services for the Seneca Highlands Intermediate Unit in Smethport.

In addition to receiving this award, the recipient is awarded a $1500 scholarship to be given to a student or students within the IU.  This year, it has been decided to award three $500 scholarships to any graduating senior who plans to attend post-secondary education in the fall of 2008 majoring in Business Education or Business Management.  To qualify for one of these scholarships, you must complete the application as contained on the IU-9 website (www.iu9.org) and forward to the Seneca Highlands IU-9, 119 Mechanic St., Smethport, PA   16749 by May 16, 2008.  The application should be marked “Gary E. Reeser, Scholarship Application” on the envelope.
