Business & Management
The Business Office provides budgeting, accounting, payroll, reporting and audit services for all Intermediate Unit programs, and is funded through an indirect cost charge to each program. In a typical year, there are sixty to seventy-five programs, grants and funds for which the Business Office provides fiscal control. About half of all program revenues come in the form of state and federal grants and subsidies, while the other half of the costs are funded by joint contributions from the fourteen school districts.
The office of Management Services provides several areas of assistance to the local education agencies (LEA) through insurance trust, policy development, transportation and cooperative purchasing.
