PA Core Flipcharts

We print IU9 PA Core Flipcharts for grades K–8 in ELA and Math as well as flipcharts for high school Keystone Exam subject areas.

The PA Core flipcharts are a desktop reference tool. As teachers and administrators struggle to incorporate the PA Common Core-eligible content into their curriculum, these quick desktop reference guides give teachers and administrators an easy way to access the PA Core and Keystone Exam-eligible content in a printed format. The organization of the flipcharts provides easy tabs for teachers to get right to the eligible content they will need for their lessons. Below is a sample view of the IU9 PA Core Flipcharts. EdTech & STEM

The IU9 provides many services to support educational technology and STEM in the classrooms. Our work is to help provide support for educators to provide their students with engaging, authentic, and creative ways to showcase their understanding. From supporting teachers with Google Classroom integration to coding robotics with real world application. The IU9 is committed to delivering supportive and informative face-to-face and virtual professional development.

STEM Lending Library

We have a STEM Lending Library. If you would like to request something from our library please fill out the STEM Lending Library form. We will work our hardest to grant every request, but be advised that we have limited supplies. All requests will be granted at a first come, first serve bases. Items may be checked out at most for a two week period. We also request that if you do use a tool please document its use through pictures and video and share them with us by sending them to Greg Macer. Please send questions and/or comments to Greg Macer.

Technology Integration

“Technological literacy is defined as computer skills and the ability to use computers and other technology to improve learning, productivity, and performance.” – United States Department of Education

Technology is simply a tool to improve and enhance education. Many educators believe that technology is a separate subject, such as science or art; however, it is impossible to separate technology from the regular curriculum. The power of technological skills comes when we integrate them into the curriculum in a meaningful and purposeful way.

Digital Resources
IU9 Instructional Media Services (IMS) provides all schools in Cameron, Elk, McKean, and Potter counties with access to instructional technology resources in many forms, including the media library, distance learning, and professional support for instructional technology integration. Every school has access to Discovery Education Streaming Plus.

Professional Support
IU9 Instructional Media provides professional support for K–12 instructional technology integration via custom-designed professional development workshops, regularly scheduled meetings, and annual regional middle and high school computer fairs that qualify students to compete with their peers at the state level.
