The Media Design Challenge is back again this year and naturally it's going to be a little bit different! It's the same competition only this year it will be all virtual. Both the regional and state competitions will be judged virtually. While this isn't the most ideal circumstances it does allows for us to open it up to as many teams as you would like to register. The biggest difference this year will be that students will need to create a presentation to showcase their work to the judges. This is going to make that documentation of how the project evolved even more important. Check out the state's dedicated page for registration, information and previous projects. The projects will be judged the week of April 19th. Deadline to register is March 1st, 2021.

Once again the most popular regional competition is back and in a whole new way! Due to the current restrictions, this years regional and state wide event will be held virtually this year. Teams will be asked to create a video on top of the other requirements to aid in the virtual judging. Because of the new format we will not have a limitation on the number of teams and encourage as many teams as you would like. This year’s competition is scheduled to be judge on the week of May 3rd-7th. This competition is for students in grades 4th-8th and utilizes the building tools of K’Nex. So get your students building with K’Nex and thinking about the future competition.
Even without a state competition last year, our turnout for the 24 Challenge regionally was fantastic! While there is a glimmer of hope that this year will see the return of the state competition, regardless we once again intend to see that there is a regional competition! While this event is still a long way away, it’s never too early to get your students practicing with their mathematical ability! Registration for this event will not open until early 2021! Stay tuned for more information!
