2024 3-D Science Learning for all Teachers K–12

As we move toward the 2024–25 implementation of the new STEELS standards in grades K–12, we continue to offer opportunities for teachers to experience the expected shifts in science instruction. If there are additional opportunities that you would like us to offer to support your teachers, please let me know. 

We have organized three additional four-day opportunities for teachers.

3-D Science Teacher Training: This foundational pathway helps participants to progress beyond simply “learning about” three-dimensional learning and helps them to work with resources critical to facilitating three-dimensional learning in their own classrooms. Participants engage as learners in modeling and constructing explanations of complex phenomena just as their students will. They also learn how to use classroom tools such as productive talk and planning whole group discussions to help create a classroom culture in which all students are supported to go public with their reasoning and build on the ideas of their classmates.
